How Should Students Find a Flatshare

More and more people decide to come to London and stay in the busy city.  However, not all are capable to pay the expensive rent to enjoy the place.  This is true especially to students who stay in London to pursue their studies.  One of the major problems of students is their limited resources.  They have a very small budget for their basic needs, education, and space for rent.  Money is always a problem especially to those who live as students only—without any alternative way to earn cash.

For sure they need to do something to make both ends meet.  They need to limit their expenses as much as possible.  Students cannot rely on others to sustain their needs except for their fixed allowance sent by their parents.  Most of the time, the money they have is not enough for all the expenditures in school and in home.

For this reason, there is an option to take to save a certain amount per month or to have extra cash in their pockets.  Rather than paying the whole expensive rent alone, most of them attempt to look for 1 bedroom flat and someone to share the room.

One of the factors to consider when finding a roommate is the age of those in the flatshare.  Students are young, energetic, and friendly.   They have many things in common like technology, gadgets, movies, music and others.  It is most likely to live comfortably with someone at their age to be able to relate with others.

In contrast, there is a gap when a student chooses someone much older to be his companion.  Chances are the student maybe controlled and dictated by the older roommate.  There is a big difference in activities and preferences and most probably, the two will not be well-matched as roommates.  For this reason, it is evident that students in London share their space to fellow students also.

It is a fact that a person can make a better bonding and share activities with someone of the same age—students to fellow students.  This is also true to mature professionals living with fellow professionals.  Therefore, students must have time to search the same age bracket they are most comfortable with.  They should find another student to share the utilities, room, and time with them.

Another thing to consider is the sex gender of the flatmate.  It is always risky to join the room with the opposite sex. There is a possibility for a relationship to develop if a young man or lady live together and it is very tempting.  Therefore, choosing someone of the same sex gender is preferably acceptable.

Most importantly, it is convenient when monthly rent payment is shared equally with somebody.  The amount saved can be used for other needs like additional allowance in school.  They can have extra money for their pockets in case emergency conditions occur.
